"Important values for me are: - a Climate-smart Municipality - Well-being Children and Youth - The Golden Years of Adulthood"
My name is Kerstin Grönqvist. I´m 66 years old and have lived in ´the centre of Kirkkonummi for 30 years. My native tongue is Swedish.
I became an elementary schoolteacher in 1977. For the last 20 years I've worked as a middle class special education teacher in Espoo.
Here in Kirkkonummi I will work hard for secure environments for children and youth. My daily job is to teach a group of various special needs students. We must have enough resources to guarantee a good education for all needs and also increase of the mental growth. The cooperation between home and school is an important part of the daily school life.
If we want Kirkkonummi to be a Climate -smart municipality in the near future, We must get more recycling and re-using local service and information of how to easily integrate the system in our daily lives. For the decrease of CO2 footprints we must plan new ways of traffic arrangements. It must be cheaper to travel by bus or train than to go in one's own car. To help pupils and students to be able to go to school by bike etc, we need to build more bicycle paths all-around in Kirkkonummi.
In my age people start to think of their older adult time.
I want to see a society with satisfied older adults. There must be enough of resources and patterns for good health care service and physical, psychological social health supports. Elderly must have possibilities to choose individual ways of living. If older adults want to live at home, they must be able to get care in their homes. Elderly must be able to use their own mother tongues if there is need for it .

A senior-friendly society
I want to see a society with satisfied `Golden Age` adults here in Kirkkonummi. There must be enough of resources and patterns for good medical nursing, physical, psychological and social health care. Elderly must have possibilities to choose individual ways of living If they want to live in their homes, instead of institutional care, they must be able to get `Golden age` care in their homes. Elderly must be able to use their own mother tongues, if there is need for that.
