"We are all needed and together we are strong. I want to work for the minorities in Salo. We need to make the great Salo area so attractive that people want to stay or move here. People create opportunities and companies. Salo has no need to build a one-hour train connection to Helsinki. We could instead have a local train from Karjaa to Turku, stopping at all the communities along the track. "
I have had the pleasure of being able to live and work for a Finnish mega-company in a lot of places and cultures. Hence I do have lots of friends and contact i most places. Our kids are living in London and Phnom Penh respectively. With my wife we live in Halikko and enjoy playing golf, walking and reading.
The best school
Our schools need to look to the individual. It should be easily accessible and preferably close to one's home. Education in the mother tongue essential and should be guaranteed when possible.
There is certainly no need for the so called one-hour train connection to Helsinki. We should rather exploit the possibility to have local train stopping at Karjaa-Bjärnå-Salo-Halikko-Hajala-Pemar-Pikis-S:t Karins-Kuppis-Åbo.
We need to make the great Salo area so attractive that people want to stay or move here. People create opportunities and companies. We have fantastic small active communities in the Salo area and their activity should be encouraged. There are a lot of opportunities in the Salo center around the river bank.
